Writing ProcessWhile writing the book, we had many roles in our project, I was personally a 80's section editor. In this role me and another student were in charge of making sure that our chapter is error free and we make sure our chapters are perfect for a great story adventure. We took the time to use all of interview notes and started out by writing out our interview in two pages. After a couple of edits we ended up expanding our detail and further interviewees into four pages. As I wrote about someone in the 80's I decided to take the job around my writing chapter.I took charge of my section because I felt that have great leader ship skills that will help us out more through out the book. Through out the end of the project all section editors all merged all writing pieces into one included our personal writing piece . In my section the students that had writings in the 80's all together to create a book, the hardest part for me was the fact that everyone had different writing skills so a lot of people had different contributions. After 2 months of hard work and many but many edits our class merged all chapters to create a book that changed our mindsets forever. Feel free to look at the process of a student author! What is the American Dream? The Ameircan dream is the idea that has been passed down generations by many Americans ever since the first arrival. The meaning of having the best career, great income , and the best life style to be in the 1%. This project all started by learning the different meanings of Americans through out history. Later asking ourselves "What is my American dream?" Going off that idea we had a set mindset we would like to display all the thoughts of the dreams in a book (The book is on the left). There are plenty of American generations, such as the 1950's - 2000's. As a team we decided to interview people of those generations and wrote about their story about coming to America and living what the so called dream is. One of the great experiences we had through out the project was seeing Shinpei Takeda "Inscription" art piece. He requested for a poem that meant to us coming to America. Our exhibition was based of the New American Museum, working along side with Mr. Takeda with some stencil art pieces.

Reflection
This project was intense. From all the yelling and stress this project turned out to be one of my favorites! What I liked about this project was the communication skills we had to use to work as a team to help improve our book. I felt the need to work as a group was a good skill to have and we all ended up depending on one another to help make this book stronger. My biggest improvement is my confidence in writing and writing skills. I feel that my skills have greatly improved since starting this project also my confidence as in writing my paper and doing self critique has really helped me as a writer. The only thing that I would of liked that was different was the timing of this project. A lot of the students were stressed and many people ended being more frustrated to finish the book then start it but in the end all of our team was very proud of what we accomplish in such little time.
Exhibition
Chaos, All of the team was going crazy for perfection, the set up process was very tiring and really repetitive. The hardest part about setting up an exhibition that you have no idea how big a space is the fact that you have to work with the room you are given and give the best exhibition for all the people that you interviewed to see. We used the space to display our writing process and all of our stencils beautifully displayed next to Mr. Takeda's art piece. This exhibition was one of the best because everyone knew how to do everyone's part so it was very simple to explain all of our project to anyone. This exhibition was different because we put more effort in our content more tan actually presenting which I would love to see more of. Joanne did an amazing job showing her class what the American dream is and what it means to work hard in the real world in such a small amount of time.
